My entire life I’ve been surrounded by arts, with a painter for a mother and a musician for a father. Now, as a final year illustration student at the University of East London, I have been influenced by a lifetime of arts, travel, and a passion for wildlife and animals. This is reflected in my varied style and choice of topic. My main themes in illustration cover reportage/urban sketching and zoological illustration. I mainly work in mixed media or pencil/pen sketching, as well as some digital work.
In life I’ve learned that it’s good to have a variety of skills and talents- if you’re a musician, you’re more valuable when can understand everything from classical to jazz. If you’re a painter, you’re more valuable if you can do a photorealistic portrait as well as a logo. I enjoy exploring and experimenting with my illustration and I’m always open to trying new things. My strengths may lie in animal illustration, but I think my biggest strength is my flexibility and adaptability. I want to be a free-lance illustrator that does all kinds of work for all kinds of people.
